Tattney-Lee Tarr

Tattney-Lee is a pioneer in the import performance vehicle industry. For over ten years she has been dedicated to breaking down gender boundaries in a male-dominated field and building up the platform for technological innovation, quality of service and progressive business practice.

After entering the automotive scene at just 20 years old, Tattney-Lee went on to achieve recognition as a BC Pioneer Women and two time winner of the Women in Business Award. Her passion has redefined women’s role in a predominantly male-created industry by taking green initiatives in the workplace, operating with a commitment to friendly and accountable customer service, and by maintaining the highest degree of MDC professionalism. Tattney-Lee’s success in the automotive industry is driven by a passion for innovative business practice, excellence in customer service, and forward-looking contributions to the industry.

In 2009, Tattney continues to set the standard for innovative and competitive business practice. Never a conformist, Tattney is a determined innovator. Whether she is redefining small-business practices, breaking stigmatisms about women in the automotive industry or looking to the future, Tattney continues to opens up new areas of thought and development for the local automotive scene.

Mark Tarr

Originally from Brandon, Manitoba, Mark has been deeply involved in the automotive scene for over 25 years. Following the automotive practices of his grandfather and father, Mark took an apprenticeship with a local shop. It was here that he discovered his passion for everything mechanical, working over the years towards a specialization in European cars. In 1999 Mark moved to Victoria, BC where he and his wife Tattney-Lee incorporated VCM Auto into a European vehicle specialty shop.

As owner, general manager and technician, Mark divides time between the front end of the business and the shop. He looks to Formula One as the unprecedented model of professional vehicle performance and maintenance. In recent years, Formula One has become a venue for ‘green’ initiatives, in which efficient use of energy has become synonymous with the future of car design. With BMW as one of the number one participants in Formula One racing, it is seen by Mark to be a model in both innovative design and future technology. VCM is committed to building a clean energy future. As an integral part of his business practice, Mark continues stays on top of new technology through continuing education, web research and regular training seminars.

VCM supports investments in research, development and innovation aimed at emission reduction and energy efficiency in the European transport industry. Mark is seen an innovator within the local automotive industry. With Tatteny-Lee as the visionary, Mark claims he is able to live his dream. His continual drive, energy and passion drive professional business practice and an excellence in customer service forward.

Ross Goldsworthy

Inspired by his love of BMW’s, Ross has turned his expertise and interest in high-performance cars into a full-time profession. Ross began his career in the automotive industry in 1991, working as a Parts and Service Manager with Capital City Auto. It was here that his passion for BMW and European cars as a hobby developed into a career.Ever an enthusiast, Ross describes BMW as the ideal luxury vehicle. As an innovator in sports sedan design, BMW fuses the versatility of a family four-door sedan and two-door coupe with performance and luxury vehicles.

As a member of VCM Auto Sales & service, Ross continues to uphold the MDC regulations and business practice. In the course of his training, Ross’s high standard of business practice and customer service continues to build relationships with new clients and long-time customers.
