About Us

The Robert Bateman Centre showcases over 80 works of Robert Bateman spanning his seven decades as one of Canada's premier artists. Located in Victoria, BC's dynamic inner harbour, the Centre houses a gallery and gift shop, and hosts a rotation of exhibits and a full schedule of educational and public programming.

Our temporary exhibits bring the community together. With themes from endangered species to traditional uses of the land surrounding our gallery, we partner with dynamic artists and organizations to further the vision of the Bateman Foundation; a national public charity that inspires a lasting relationship to nature through the lens of art.

The Robert BatemanGallery Shop offers a selection of Bateman limited edition prints, merchandise & books. Located on the first floor of the historic Steamship Terminal, the shop also features artworks and unique merchandise by talented local artists available for purchase in-store only.
