Adult/Teen Kenpo Classes

The art of Kenpo focuses on self-defense. PSD teaches Tracy’s Kenpo (www.tracyskarate.com) which has been franchised successfully since the 1970’s and is today represented by schools all over Canada and the United States. Tracy’s Kenpo offers effective self-defense skills through a set curriculum. You will learn how to deal with virtually any conceivable attack with techniques designed to work regardless of your size and strength in comparison to that of your attacker’s. The entire art has been recorded in written manuals, picture manuals and on video which customers can purchase and use for improving their home studies. Students learn Kenpo through kenpo/kickboxing group classes and private instruction. Kenpo, is a martial art characterized by the use of quick hand strikes in rapid succession. Kenpo is not about fighting. A Kenpo practitioner does not "feel out" his opponent. Once the Kenpo practitioner is attacked, his aim is to end the fight however he can as quickly and efficiently as possible. Kenpo uses a belt system very similar to Karate and Judo.
