About Us
Growing up in Ontario my parents introduced me to the outdoors at an early age. I was surrounded by an active gardening family and was quickly drawn to the amazing beauty in my own backyard.
A sunny afternoon in the vegetable garden with my Grandparents was not uncommon . They taught me so much and these cherished times drew me to the love of gardening.
I started my studies at a Natural Resources College which when completed, lead me to teaching at an Outdoor Education Centre in Ontario. This was a wonderful job giving myself and many students a better awareness of our natural environment and how everything worked together in harmony.
My life’s journey lead me to the West Coast where I co-ordinated recreational activities for the community of Ucluelet. This was a huge introduction to the beautiful Province of British Columbia and I felt a strong attraction to the amazing flora and fauna surrounding me.
Settling into my own home in Victoria brought me to my own gardens. With great pleasure and work, I dedicated many hours growing and learning about gardening.
