About Us

The Diverse Mary Winspear Centre

The Mary Winspear Cultural and Conference Centre is an integral part of the local Peninsula community as well as an important facility to the broader business, social and cultural event clientele.  Its rich history from the 1950s is evident in our modern building’s wood beam structures and in the pride staff take in the delivery of our centre's many services and events.

Conferences, Exhibitions and Meetings

The centre hosts an array of successful business events in its large Bodine Family banquet hall and multi-purpose rooms.

Celebrations and Special Events

Many weddings, dinners, dances and other special events unfold in the Bodine Family banquet hall and adjoining outdoor courtyard.

Charlie White Theatre

The 310-seat Charlie White Theatre is known as one of the best community performance theatres in the province.  It hosts weekly live cultural theatre, dance and musical performances through its box office services.

Green Meetings

In a world of declining natural resources, it's important that we all do our part to be more effective guardians of our local environment. The Mary Winspear Centre is committed to providing a range of  "green meeting" options to suit our clients' needs as well as those of our environment.

Community Programs

As a cultural centre for our region, the Mary Winspear Centre is pleased to offer a variety of programs for youth and adults. The centre takes pride in providing opportunities for residents to learn about performing arts, watch performances on stage, create visual arts and interact with exhabitions. You are sure to find a program of interest.

Blue Heron Park

The Memorial Park Society manages the Mary Winspear Centre and one of the premier outdoor sports facility on the Peninsula, Blue Heron Park.  Sports groups and spectators from across our community, Vancouver Island, the mainland and beyond come to first-class field events at Blue Heron Park.
