Witch hazel is a deciduous stemmed shrub or small tree. With smooth, brown, thin, scaly bark and meritorious long, flexible branches. Witch hazel blooms in the late fall and often the first to flower in your garden.  Fragrant, yellow flowers in small clusters appear as the foliage yellows, and the flowers persist after the leaves have fallen. Your Witch hazel will flower occurs from October to as late as early December.
