Child Custody Agreements

Child custody can be a contentious issue that arises in a separation or divorce. There are many factors to consider and having a family law expert who understands the process and has not only your best interests in mind, but also your child's.

Some of the issues we will help work through, whether it be via negotiation/mediation or in court are custody (sole vs shared or joint), primary residence of the child or children. Access rights (sometimes called visitation rights) is another issue that should be very carefully thought through and negotiated, especially for the physical and psychological well being of the child.

 Finally you need to determine Guardianship, this is deciding which parent has legal decision making rights for the child. However this can also be shared between the two parents.
