About Us
Angel Drolet, LL.B. (Canada), J.D. (U.S.), practices family law in beautiful Sidney by the Sea on Vancouver Island. She is a skilled negotiator and courtroom litigator, representing clients in a wide range of family law matters in the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. She has law degrees from the University of Ottawa and American University’s Washington College of Law (DC), and is also admitted to practice in the State of Georgia. She has studied and worked in Canada, the United States, Japan and China.
Family law can be challenging – it often involves high emotions and sometimes extreme conflict. Angel built a foundation for dealing with discordant family law matters through various courses and workshops on Alternative Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management. Her goal is to help her clients move away from the emotion and conflict to a reasonable, responsible and respectful position and, to the extent possible, stay out of court.
Angel aspires to be a lifelong community volunteer. She is a former foster parent and has also worked with, among others, Big Brothers/Big Sisters in New Orleans, Miami and Nanaimo; H.U.G.S. of New Orleans; South Miami Hospital Aftercare Program; Peninsula Crossroads Restorative Justice Program; Peninsula (Beacon) Community Services; Sidney Museums; Pro Bono Canada; and Peninsula Emergency Management Organization (ESS).
Angel’s interests include travel, education, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and her beloved dog/office manager Davey (the cutest dog in the world).
