When you need a new air conditioner there are many questions and concerns. A main concern of many is energy efficiency. With Daikin's single zone 12000 BTU system, you get an energy efficient system. With a SEER Rating of 23 and an EER of 12.8, you are not only getting an efficient system air conditioner, you are getting the ability to add heat to the same room. A 12000 BTU unit will cool an area of about 300 - 525 sq. ft. or a room that is approximately 15' x 20 up to 20.5'  x 25.5'. Of course ceiling height, windows and doors must also be taken into consideration. This system will cool with outside temperatures as low as 14°F and will heat with outdoor temps as low as 5°F. 

With a mini split system you do not lose a window, and you do not need to run ducts all through your home or office. Instead, a mini split is an outdoor compressor and an indoor blower connected through a small hole with copper piping inside a wall or ceiling.
