This 12000 BTU Single Zone System is part of Daikin's 19-Series. The 19 Series features both an indoor and outdoor unit, each with a space saving design and quiet operation. The outdoor unit is an inverter "variable speed" compressor, which will operate at a lower speed when the indoor temperature is achieved rather than continually power on and off.
Like other mini split systems, Daikin's indoor and outdoor units connect with copper tubing through a small opening in the wall. No duct work and very little interruption to your life. The indoor wall unit sits high on the wall, not blocking any windows and is modern and streamlined. The indoor and outdoor units will blend seamlessly into your home.
The FTX12NMVJU indoor wall unit is paired with the matching RX12NMVJU outdoor unit. This system features a SEER Rating of 19 and and EER of 12.5. It is the perfect size unit for a room between 300 and 525 sq. ft - that is a room that is about 15' x 20' up to about 20' x 26'. Please bear in mind that you do have to take into account other aspects of the room, such as electronic equipment, ceiling height and windows and doors. This system will heat when outdoor temperatures fall as low as 5°F and cool with outdoor temperatures around 50°F. With an added wind baffle (sold separately), this system will allow cooling down to 0°F.
