About Us

By the spring of 2014 he will be one of only a handful of healthcare providers in Canada able to qualify as an expert witness in crash reconstruction. What that means is other chiropractors, physical therapists, medical physicians, etc., are only permitted to talk (or write about, in the case of their being asked to write a report) about your injury(s). Because Dr. McDiarmid's training goes far beyond that of just the injuries he is able to discuss how you were injured (termed Biomechanics), and how the specifics of the crash contributed to your injuries (termed Crash Reconstruction). The end result is your lawyer can argue much easier for a better settlement because he can render an opinion much more in-depth compared to most other health care providers.

Frank McDiarmid D.C. FRCCSS(Canada) has been in full-time practice for over 20 years, the majority of which has been in Victoria. In 1996 he received his Fellowship from the Royal Chiropractic College of Sports Sciences (Canada) thereby having chiropractic's highest academic acreditation in the field of sports injuries in Canada.

He is also a member of the Canadian Society of Chiropractic Evaluators thereby being accredited for performing independent third party assessments for neuromusculoskeletal injuries. The Provincial Court of British Columbia recognizes him as an expert and he is often asked to consult on cases, principally regarding whiplash injuries, by many member's of Victoria's legal community. He is the only health care provider, in Canada, who is a member of the Canadian Association of Traffic Accident Investigators and Reconstructionists, Accident Reconstructionists Network and the Society of Automotive Engineers.

That said, he holds the only classes in British Columbia regarding side and rear-impact caused whiplash with an emphasis on Low Speed Rear-Impact Collision (when there is minimal to no damage to the struck vehicle). The collisions discussed make up 70% of all of ICBC's claims. The classes are able to qualify for Continuing Professional Development with the Law Society of BC, and as continuing education credits with a number of health care disciplines (chiropractors, physical therapists, registered massage therapists and kinesiologists). Classes are held 4-8 times a year, are free of charge for the general public, attended by lawyers and other health care professionals as well as members of the public. If you are interested in attending the one, simply put your name on the list, by booking through the 'appointment' link (or call the office at 778-440-1828). You will be called when the next one takes place.

Simply call our office, or book an appointment through the 'Appointment' link, if you would like to be placed on the recall list for the next class, would like to meet Dr. McDiarmid to ask him some questions, or to book an appointment for him to assess your injury(s).
