About Us

ANIÁN represents the best of coastal living

What started as a trip to the beach has grown from infatuation, into obsession.  Surfing, traveling, making quality goods and living in the moment is what ANIÁN is about.

The Shop

Our shop is proudly built with 95% reclaimed materials and attempting to run 100% off the grid.

From the boards we shape to the clothing we manufacture, ANIÁN is involved in every aspect of our goods.

The origins of the name

The strait of ANIÁN was semi-mythical passage that was believed to connect Asia to Europe, Marco Polo’s Book from 1559 is the first to note the existence of this elusive straight. In 1592 explorer Juan De Fuca claimed he had sailed the strait from the Pacific to the North Sea. The strait he sailed is now known as the Strait of Juan de Fuca, between Vancouver Island and Northwestern Washington State.

ANIÁN represents taking that chance, looking for the unknown and venturing off the charted maps. We are Coastally Nomadic.
